Answers:
Q: Do we have any rules?
A: Of course we have rules !
- No families or friends allowed during the event. They will not be let in, sorry.
- No drugs
- Keep the convention center clean and in the condition we received it.
- You need to have your tag on at all times.
- You are responsible for your project's equipment and safety.
- Please watch over your stuff, or put it in the locked room, we can't be held responsible for loss.
- Event is photographed (or videoed) by everybody participating, they and us might use materials in blogs, articles, websites, etc.
- The organizers can bear no responsibility for damage to human, computer or other equipment.
For questions or assistance please contact the operations team: ilan, gilli, eden, yuval, ohad and more soon...
Q: How do I get to GeekCon?
A: The Wingate Institue is located adjacent to route 2 (the road from Tel Aviv to Haifa). Going on route 2 from North to South, you just need to take a right turn after you've passed all the way through Netanya. Going in the other direction, there's no left turn where Wingate is. So you'll have to go a bit more to the north, get off Route 2 at the Poleg interchange, do a U-turn of sorts and then get back on Route 2 heading south-bound back to Wingate.

Inside Wingate, you can find GeekCon:

Q: Is there an Internet connection?
A: Yes, of course. A broadband wireless network network will be available (with Internet access). From our experience last year and in other conferences, your help will be greatly appreciated in keeping it up and running...
Q: Can I have a room to sleep in?
A: Accomodations will be provided this year! Please email rooms@geekcon.org if you have a sleeping preference with another participant.
Q: How do I get materials for my project?
A: You are in charge of all materials relating to your project. Either bring them on your own OR post a request here - people are glad to help.
Q: Where do I reserve room for presentation?
A: Right here. Do note it's on a first Wiki first serve basis.
Q: Can I bring friends?
A: No, unless he/she were invited by the organization team. Feel free to bring 'em over to the BBQ event on Friday where they can meet your cloest geeky friends! [do we still allow?] if you are utterly sure that they should have been invited but were not from some reason, send a request to invites@geekcon.org with a very good reason, a quick bio and contact info.
Q: Is press (newspaper, TV , etc...) allowed?
A: No live TV coverage. Do note that some members of the press will take part as participants and might write about the event after it took place (make sure you only tell Hanan your geek stories!).
