What is it?

Geekcon is an invitation-only creative gathering, inspired by Kinnernet, taking place at Wingate institute, Israel, from 10:00am Friday the 7th of September and until the night of Saturday the 8th of September.

This is the 3rd year the event is happening. You can read about Geekcon 2005 at the web site or in Haaretz.

Invitees are geek or a geek-alike coders, artists, musicians, gamers, physicists and thinkers that the organizers think can actively contribute to the success of the get-together. The purpose for Geekcon 2007 is to form a critical mass of technically oriented creative talented people that will team up, think, create and deploy ideas.

 

It is a mix of Kinnernet , Defcon and Disneyland resulting in a live experience, focused on doing and experiencing things, rather than talking about them. We provide the location, the crowd and output devices, you make it happen.

There are no attendants at this event, only participants. Each and every invitee is expected to create or contribute to a project for or during the event.�

Due to space limitations, the total number of attendees is limited to 150 participants.
